IAA Scholarship for Seniors Now Open!

The Indiana Art Association offers up to a $500 scholarship each year. Applications are typically due each April with judging in May. The 2026 scholarship is offered in remembrance of longtime IAA member Julieann Knox.
Studying art after high school? Apply for our up to $500 IAA Art Scholarship!
Interested students must fill out their own application. Teacher submitted applications and art will not be considered.
Instructions:
To be eligible, a candidate must meet the following criteria.
Be a resident of Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
Graduate from high school in Spring 2026.
Plan to continue the study of art in college, university, or accredited art school.
Submit three pieces of artwork for consideration by our Indiana Art Association judges with the form. It is important to ensure that matting and framing thoughtfully enhances your work.
Drop off and judging will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at The Artist’s Hand Gallery
(located at 732 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA 15701). Artwork and applications must be
dropped off between 10am and 11am on this date and picked up between Noon and 1pm.
Please use the back entrance of The Artist’s Hand to drop off and pick up your artwork.
There is a parking lot with free and metered parking behind the gallery.
All artwork must be original. Traditional art is the focus of this scholarship program, but
commercial and digital art with a fine arts approach are accepted. The scholarship recipient will be asked to hang their art in IAA’s annual show and to attend the show’s reception to accept their award.
