Sheltering | Artists Respond to the Great Pause

Beginning with the Covid-19 pandemic, and “sheltering in place” this has been a unique period of personal and social unrest.  Our artists respond in many ways and we’re sharing their art, poetry, and their stories with you.  A reception is tentatively scheduled for August 21st (IUP Welcome Weekend), 6-8pm depending on our ability to provide a safely interactive event.

Art helps us express the world and have conversations. We want to share your voice and your experience in 2020. Share your current art and poetry with us! The Hand works to be a safe space for POC. We would like to encourage BIPOC and POC artists to submit their art and poetry for this art opening and beyond.
